TabTasker is designed so the only people who ever see your files are you and the people you choose to share them with. Every tool on the site, including PDF merging, image conversion, audio editing, OCR and AI features, runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, WebGPU and the standard File and Audio APIs. We never receive, store or process the contents of the files you open in a TabTasker tool.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect or sell personal data about how you use the tools. We use Google Analytics with consent gating to measure aggregate page views so we know which tools to keep building, and we may serve a small number of contextual ads on a few pages to fund hosting. We also show clearly labelled affiliate links on our Support us page, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you; your files are never part of an ad or affiliate request because they never leave your device. You can disable analytics and ads at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer; the tools themselves work fully without analytics or ads.
A few features need a transient network connection that is unrelated to file content. Browser-to-browser file sharing and video calls use a public STUN server to discover network paths between two browsers; the actual file and media data flow peer-to-peer between the two devices, end-to-end encrypted by DTLS-SRTP. AI tools may download an open-source model once on first use, after which they work offline.
We keep no server-side logs of file uploads because no upload happens. If a future feature ever needs to send data off your device we will say so on the page that uses it, and you will always have the option to opt out by simply not using that one feature.
