Privacy Policy

The short version: we cannot see your files, because they never leave your browser.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The short version

  • Your files never leave your device. All processing happens in your browser.
  • We do not require an account.
  • This site has no advertising or sponsored placements. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

TabTasker is a free, browser-based utility platform operated by Vehicularis Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vehicularis Limited.

2. What data we process

2.1 Files you open in our tools

When you drag-and-drop a file (PDF, image, audio, text, etc.) into one of our tools, that file is loaded into your browser’s memory and processed by JavaScript / WebAssembly running locally on your device. The file is never sent to a server we operate. When you close the tab, the file is discarded from memory.

Some AI tools (Speech-to-Text, Translation, etc.) rely on machine-learning models hosted by Hugging Face. On first use, model weights (not your files) are downloaded from huggingface.co and cached in your browser. The models then run locally on your device.

2.2 Information we do not collect

  • We do not require an email address, account or login.
  • We do not upload your files anywhere.
  • We do not store any of your inputs server-side.

2.3 Donations

If you choose to make a voluntary donation to support TabTasker, your payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not handle or store your payment card details directly. When you donate, Stripe collects your name, email address, card details, billing address, and transaction data in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation (amount and timestamp) to acknowledge your support — your card number and full billing details are never seen or stored by us. Donations are entirely voluntary; declining does not affect your access to any feature of TabTasker. Stripe may transfer your data internationally and retains it under their own data retention policies.

2.4 Information your browser sends automatically

Like every website, our hosting provider receives standard HTTP request data: your IP address, the URL you visited, the referring page, and your User-Agent string. This data is used purely to serve the page and detect abuse, and is not used to build a profile about you.

2.5 Messages you send us

If you use the contact or feedback form, the information you choose to submit is sent to Formspree so we can read and respond to your message. Do not include sensitive files or information you do not want to share. Formspree processes submissions under its privacy policy.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s localStorage to remember your preferences (theme, recently used tools, and whether you have dismissed the privacy notice). This data lives on your device and is never sent to us.

4. Analytics and advertising

This site does not load advertising, analytics or error-monitoring trackers. Clicking “OK” on the privacy notice only remembers that you have dismissed it; it does not consent to tracking or load a tracker. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

5. Legal bases for processing (EU / UK / Switzerland)

For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR (and equivalent national laws):

  • Legitimate interests — serving the page and detecting abuse via standard HTTP logs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Legitimate interests — responding to messages you choose to send us.

6. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We do not discriminate against users who exercise their CCPA rights.

7. Children

TabTasker is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Your rights

Because we do not store your files or build profiles about you, there is no personal data of yours sitting on our servers to access, correct or delete.

  • Browser-local data — clear theme preferences, recently used tools, and the notice dismissal via your browser’s settings (DevTools → Application → Local Storage).

9. International data transfers

Your files are processed entirely in your browser and are never transferred internationally by us. Standard HTTP logs may be processed by our hosting provider in accordance with their own privacy policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted here.
